When you become a Torbay Community Protection Member you are gaining access to a number of highly effective crime prevention features:

Regular Home Security Patrols

We ensure to regularly visit your home and postcode throughout our weekly high-visibility security patrols. We actively vary days/times to deter different types of crime such as anti-social behaviour, burglary, vandalism etc. While patrolling we check for and intervene in any criminal behaviour in the immediate area. Just 15mins of patrols have been shown to reduce violent crime by 70% (STUDY).

Private Minor Crime Investigation/Intelligence Report*

We offer members Minor Crime Investigations should anyone in your household be a victim to a crime. This will ensure you have more information for law enforcement, increasing your likelihood of having the issue resolved. The process will be as follows:

1. Short Consultation To Give Incident Details (Via Videocall, Email or Phone)
2. Eye Witness/Private CCTV Information Gathering
3. OSINT (Open Source Intelligence Gathering)
4. Physical Search Of The Area
5. National Intelligence Model Standardised Report

*Disclaimer: Minor crimes only such as theft, burglary, assault etc. We can deem an incident to be too serious for us to reliably handle without police powers. You are entitled to one investigation/intelligence report every three months.

Access To Crime Prevention Messaging Channel

This message-only number will allow you to contact us directly with any information you have regarding criminal behaviour in the area such as anti-social behaviour hotspots, information pertaining to gang activity or petty criminal sightings. While we cannot guarantee attendance every time, we actively utilise this info to focus our security activities. 

On Demand Bodyguard (Coming Soon)

Members who sign up to our current offer will get access to our "On Demand Bodyguard" feature for free once it launches (later sign-ups will pay extra). This will allow you to ping us using the crime prevention channel with your location and incident type and we will come intervene as soon as possible. This service is currently in the testing phase as we are determining in which area we can offer satisfactory response times for operation. More details to follow.

You will also receive a monthly email newsletter which will give you updates on what we are doing to tackle criminal behaviour in your area, as well as highlighting members who have been very active in helping us with our work. 

Kinsguard Community Protection Window Sticker

We would also love to offer you a specialised window sticker which can be placed anywhere passers by may see. This serves as extra deterrence for criminals as well as showing your neighbourhood that you are actively helping to reduce crime.

Window stickers may take between 5 and 25 working days to arrive by post. Membership renews on the same date of initial purchase every month. Cancel anytime by contacting us on kingsguard@workmail.com. Cancellation notices must be sent via email 5 working days before the next payment to be implemented that month. If sent after this period one final payment will be taken. Services will remain active for another month in this circumstance. Please note that a Community Protection Membership is NOT a membership to the Kingsguard Security Association, our non-profit partner organisation whose details you can find on the rest of this website.
